NEW RICHMOND — Six players scored touchdowns as the Warriors closed in on a Class AA playoff berth.
Quarterback Aaron Griffith keyed the win with 121 yards rushing and 118 yards passing. He ran for a 75-yard TD and also hit Christian Hedinger with a 77-yard scoring aerial.
Independence’s Colton Ward scored on a 61-yard run and a 68-yard pass from Brian Sexton. Ward finished with 167 yards of total offense.
The Warriors (6-3) play Friday at Liberty. Independence (4-5) will conclude its season Friday at Fayetteville.
