NEW RICHMOND — Evan Beasley ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead James Monroe to a 48-0 victory at Wyoming East on Friday night.
The No. 2-ranked Mavericks improved to 4-0.
Grant Mohler added 110 yards and another score for the Mavericks, who led 35-0 at halftime. Wyoming East (0-5) managed just 73 yards on offense, and have scored just 21 points in five games this season.
James Monroe had 457 yards on offense, including 307 on the ground. Beasley also threw for 116 yards and two more scores to Colton Bradley and Tyler Moore, who’s touchdown went for 70 yards. Conner Moore came off the bench to throw one pass, a 34-yard scoring toss to Dalton Comer.
Trip Shiflet led James Monroe with 13 tackles, including four for loss, while Mohler had 10 stops. The Mavericks also recovered three fumbles.
Alec Lusk led the Warriors with 43 yards on the ground.
Wyoming East will visit winless River View on Friday, while the Mavericks travel to Nicholas County.
