NEW RICHMOND — The Class AA No. 5 Wyoming East Warriors exploded for 36 points in the second and third quarters to defeat the Liberty Raiders.
Christian Hedinger scored on two touchdown passes (15, 20) from Aaron Griffith and also scored on a 40-yard run to lead the Warriors (9-1). Hedinger, along with Josh Poindexter, had one 2-point conversion reception.
Jacob Summe and Coty Bishop did the ground work as Summe rushed for 122 yards and Bishop scored twice (2, 31).
Wyoming East (9-1) will host a first round playoff game against a team to be announced Sunday. The Liberty finish at 4-6.
