HINTON — Matt Ryan scored rushing touchdowns from 45 and 23 yards out, and threw an 19-yard touchdown to Andrew Richmond to lead Summers County past PikeView 28-14 Friday.
Ryan finished the night with 178 yards on the ground and 76 through the air.
Joey Jennings ran for 94 yards for the Panthers (0-1).
Tucker Lilly also had a big night for the Bobcats, with an interception and a 50-yard kickoff return to start the second half that set up Ryan's final score.
Ty Hosten and Levi Nash had short touchdown runs in the middle two periods for the Panthers, who will host Independence next Friday.
Summers County (1-0) will travel to Glen Daniel to battle the Liberty Raiders.
