Bobcats bite Bearcats in exciting finish

GRAFTON — Isaiah Brown scored three touchdowns, including the clincher in the fourth quarter, as the Bobcats improved to 3-0 this season with a road victory over the Bearcats.
The Bobcats opened the scoring when T.J. Smith returned a fumble 40 yards. Grafton’s Cole Collins passed 70 yards to Nate Moses, and Zack Rowand added a field goal and the home team led 10-3 at halftime.
In the fourth quarter, after another Collins touchdown pass, Brown returned the next kickoff 85 yards for a score. Rowand connected on a field goal to tie the game 20-20, and Brown capped his night with a 20-yard scoring run. Erik Lindsey’s two-point conversion wrapped up the scoring.
Summers County racked up 198 yards rushing. Grafton had 186 yards on the ground and Collins passed for 153 yards.
Summers County plays at home against Wyoming East next weekend.
