PEARISBURG, Va. — Brian Mann carried the ball six times and scored on four of them to lead Giles to a 42-6 win over Giles County rival Narrows on Friday night at Stephen C. Ragsdale Stadium.
Mann, who had 75 yards on six carries, scored on first half runs of 19, 9 and 9 yards, and also had a 25-yard third quarter touchdown.
Giles led 28-0 at the break, and 35-0 going to the fourth quarter.
Sophomore running back Brandon Chapman led Giles with 127 yards on the ground. Patrick Beidleman scored on a 1-yard run, and Logan Thompson had the final score in the final period on a 17-yard run. Ty Ratcliffe added 54 yards rushing for the Spartans.
Max Riley made all six of his extra point attempts.
Chase Lawson caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Cole Blaker in the fourth quarter for the Green Wave’s lone score.
Giles (3-0) will visit Mitchell Stadium to face on Friday, while Narrows (2-2) will travel to Craig County.
