Collier sets school record in loss for Knights

WELCH — Elijah Collier threw for a school record 387 yards, along with four touchdowns, but Mount View dropped a 52-26 decision to Westside on Friday night at Vic Nystrom Stadium.
Larry Cook ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more for the Renegades (6-3). Josh Morgan also ran for two scores and Trevor Anderson added one. Jacob Ellis had touchdown grabs of 18 and 42 yards.
Westside led 44-12 at halftime, with Mount View scores coming on a 5-yard scoring pass from Collier to Jaquane Imes, and a 75-strike from Collier to Marquis Bonds.
Imes also caught an 84-yard fourth quarter score and finished with 226 yards receiving in the game. Marquis Bonds, who had a 28-yard score in the final period, finished with 106 yards through the air.
Mount View (1-8) concludes its season on Friday at Summers County.
