Bulldogs fall on late field goal

CHILHOWIE, Va. — Heartbreak.
Justin Jones kicked a 25-yard field goal on the game’s last play to give Chilhowie 45-43 win over Tazewell on Friday night.
Tazewell scored 30 points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of 49-yard touchdown passes on back to back plays from Malik Davis to Jesse Mountain in less than a minute.
Carter Rasnick recovered his own onside kick twice in a row to set up the two scores.
Davis accounted for 365 total yards, including 239 yards passing and three touchdowns and rushed for 126 more and two scores.
Jones had 135 yards rushing, two touchdowns, four extra points and the key field goal for the Warriors, which improved to 3-1.
Tazewell trailed 42-21 with 5:11 to play.
Mountain caught three touchdown passes for the Bulldogs.
Tazewell (0-4) entertains George Wythe on Friday.
