Cousin’s five TDs leads G-Men past Pioneers

FORT CHISWELL, Va. — Jamorya’ Cousin ran for 226 yards on 15 carries and five touchdowns, and Ben Meade picked off three Fort Chiswell passes, leading Graham to a 60-0 Mountain Empire District win over the Pioneers on Friday night at B.K. McKinney Field.
Cousin scored on runs of 8, 54, 47, 14 and 25 yards, with three of those scores coming in the 27-point first quarter. The G-Men led 46-0 at halftime.
Graham has outscored its last two opponents, Bland County and Fort Chiswell, 101-0 in the opening half, and 122-14 for the two games.
Roman Workman completed 7-of-10 pass attempts for 179 yards and touchdowns to Taymon Cooke from 50 yards and a 16-yard completion to DeQuan Booker.
Workman has now thrown for 1,131 yards this season. He also picked off a Fort Chiswell pass and returned it for a score. Ben Meade added a 65-yard scoring run to his three interceptions in the game.
Fort Chiswell dropped to 0-9 on the season and will host Bland County in the season finale on Friday.
Graham (4-5), which was 10th in the Region 2A West playoff ratings entering this week, will visit Narrows on Friday.
During a radio interview at halftime, Graham principal John O’Neal said that the G-Men could lead the Mountain Empire District and return to the Southwest District in the near future.
