GLADE SPRINGS, Va. — Honaker’s overwhelming depth was certainly noticeable Friday night in a 43-13 destruction of Patrick Henry.
While Ty Hall tossed for 175 yards and two touchdowns, the senior was able to hit 10 different receivers - including a 50-yard seam route toward Jordan Hess on the Tigers’ first play from scrimmage.
At one point during the second quarter, Hall hit seven of eight passes - capping a 61-yard push by hitting a breaking Cody Lester for a 3-yard TD pass and a 36-7 edge.
The Rebels’ (2-2) talented playmaker, Merrick Mullins, ended the night with a jaw-dropping 297 yards of total offense. He took a reverse pitch off a first-half kickoff and scooted 91 yards for Patrick Henry’s opening score.
