MEADOW BRIDGE — Another Friday night of Meadow Bridge football, another huge night for senior Shane Harless as he led the Wildcats to a 50-24 win over Mount View on Homecoming night.
Harless ran for 289 yards on 32 carries and found the end zone four times (9, 40, 4, 49). But Harless is a two-way player and he was dominant on defense also, with 12 solo tackles and a quarterback sack.
Harless was also crowned Homecoming king.
Lawson Patterson opened the scoring for Meadow Bridge with a 16-yard run and Peyton Richmond hauled in a 67-yard touchdown pass from Page Walker to build a 36-0 halftime lead.
Dylan Walker added a 61-yard score for the Wildcats.
The Golden Knights (1-5) were led by Tariq Carr, who threw for 238 yards on the night and three touchdowns, while Marquis Bonds had five catches for 186 yards and three scores.
Meadow Bridge (4-3) travels to Summers County next Friday. Mount View will visit Wyoming East.
